About what I do:
I have worked in the wood industry in Switzerland for many years and before I owned my Artisan CNC machine I felt like I was blocked in a go nowhere job where my boss would arrive and turn on the lights for me and then while he talked to his friends, I would have to work. I have worked with wood my whole life but never finished an apprentice so I never imagined that I could start a business myself.

My projects with my machine:
Build model customizable cars and trucks so that a bottle of wine can be displayed then target expos and winemakers in the region of Valais. The hardest part is to get the wheels round by hand and the milling machine would help greatly

My machine requirements:
Materials: Hard and soft wood mostly in 2d cutouts
Precision: The goal is to cut the wheels for my model and make many models where by hand it would be impossible. The wheels will roll so they need to be round and the jigsaw pieces must also fit together. 1/10th if possible
Speed: I don’t need a fast machine but sometimes I would like to push out 100 wheels at a time to advance on the weekends. Don’t want to take too many passes so at least 20mm/pass in hardwood
Size: mostly models with the biggest piece at 360x120x30mm
Budget: I work at the same time so I don’t want to directly buy the best machine and wish to work into it. 4000-5000chf
Special requirements: I need it within 4 weeks to try to get some products out to the Christmas expos. Also I will need a computer to run the machine because I just have an old laptop. Must be swissmade machine

Technical specs:
Axes: Solid round axes 20mm
Drive train: Trapezoidal with play compensators
Milling spindle: Kress 1050 1kW
Control module: MikroNC 3 axis control
Motors: 205 oz/in unipolar
Body table: Solid aluminum
Tie down: axial bars to hold long pieces
